Child Care Center
The Child Care Center had a successful 2010. 2011 looks like a good year so far. We are blessed to
have a teaching staff of dedicated individuals who provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate
environment for the children in the Child Care Center. Our teachers daily emphasize the concepts of
sharing, getting along with others, and being mannerly. Concepts of colors, shapes, and numbers are
taught through the use of hands-on activities blended with circle activities, group instruction
and playtime.
The Child Care Center is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, year round.
The Child Care, along with the Preschool, shared the annual Harvest Celebration as well as the
visits of guest speakers, including the fireman, the dentist, the veterinarian, and the librarian.
Parents attend special celebrations for Easter, Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day, and Christmas.
Each morning we have a light breakfast at 8:30 a.m. We provide hot lunches every day, prepared for
us by the Fairfax Food Services. After nap, the children have a snack.
The children play outside in our playground each day when the weather is nice.
