The music ministry at Graham Road UMC is comprised of several groups, all of which are vital to the
ongoing ministry of the church.
Chancel Choir
The adult choir meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30 pm from September through the end of May.
This choir performs a wide variety of music anthems ranging from the great English and German
influences to more contemporary settings of church music. The adult choir sings for almost every
Sunday service, and for special Holiday services throughout the year. We also join with neighboring
churches for special services and performances throughout the year.
Handbell Choirs
Susan Gause, Director
The Graham Road Handbell Choir performs for several Sunday services from September through May of
each year. They rehearse on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am, usually for about a 45-minute
period. The music performed is especially written for handbell choirs and ranges from traditional
to contemporary in style.
The Belyea Bells Handbell Choir also performs for several Sunday services, and have their rehearsals
on Monday evenings at 6:45 pm. The Belyea Handbell Choir performs as often as the Graham
Road Handbell Choir, but for different services throughout the academic year.
Barile Children's Chimes
Susan Gause, Director
The Barile Children's Chimes perform at various times throughout the year, and rehearse during
worship service on Sunday mornings. Sue Gause works with these talented young people to train
them to read music and provide them with opportunities to share their talents in our
worship experiences.
